Nairobi

Hardinge Street, 1950 Photographs below were taken on March 31, 1950, during a pageant to commemorate the birth of a city. The Duke of Gloucester proclaimed Nairobi a Charter City. This ceremony was followed by a parade depicting the history of the city. The photos of the parade were taken from the upper floor of Corner House, Hardinge Street.
